MEB- MESEM APPRENTICESHIP INCENTIVES

With the inclusion of apprenticeship education within the scope of formal and compulsory education in vocational training centers, it is aimed to meet the apprentice needs of enterprises and to enable apprentice students to learn their professions on the job in a master-apprentice relationship.
Secondary education includes all general, vocational and technical education institutions and vocational training centers that provide four-year compulsory formal or non-formal education based on primary education. Graduates of these schools and institutions are given a diploma according to the specialty of the program they have completed.

Who can apply to vocational training centers?

Vocational education center students receive theoretical training at school 1 day a week and practical training in enterprises 4 days a week. Accordingly, the conditions for enrollment in vocational education centers:
-To have completed at least secondary school or imam hatip secondary school.
-STo be in a health condition suitable for the education of the relevant profession. This condition is documented with a health / health board report when necessary.
-Signing a contract with a workplace related to the occupational branch to be registered (There must be a master with a “Master Teaching Certificate” in the workplace to sign a contract).
-Must be over 14 years of age.
-Student enrollment continues throughout the year.

How to apply to vocational training centers?

-Candidates who meet the application requirements, who are currently working in an enterprise or who are not working in an enterprise but want to receive vocational training can apply in person to the nearest vocational training center or vocational and technical Anatolian high school with their identity information.
-Those who do not work in an enterprise can receive guidance and guidance services from vocational training centers on choosing a profession and finding an enterprise.
-Vocational education center registration starts with the signing of the “vocational education in enterprises contract” between the school, the enterprise and the student/guardian.
-The student is registered in the e-MESEM system by the school.
-From the moment the student is enrolled, his/her salary starts with insurance against occupational diseases and work accidents and continues throughout his/her education period.

Application process and stages of vocational training centers

-Applications are made in 193 different fields.
-They are employed theoretically 1 day a week at school and 4 days a week at enterprises.
-Apprenticeship training lasts 3 years and journeyman training lasts 1 year.
-At least 30% of the wage paid to 9th, 10th and 11th grade students attending the vocational training center, which corresponds to the minimum wage, and at least 50% of the wage paid to 12th grade students, which corresponds to the minimum wage, is paid to the employer.
-Insurance premiums for occupational diseases and work accidents are covered by the state.
-Duration of On-the-Job Training Programs.
-The program can be scheduled for a minimum of 5 and a maximum of 8 hours per day and no more than 6 days per week, not exceeding 45 hours per week.
-The program duration is maximum 6 months for workplaces and occupations in the IT and manufacturing sectors and maximum 3 months in other sectors.
-The duration of on-the-job training programs for young people between the ages of 18-29 participating in on-the-job training programs to be organized in areas such as cyber security, cloud computing, game development specialist and coding, which are seen as the professions of our age and the future, is applied for a maximum of 9 months.
-In hazardous and very hazardous occupations, the program is organized provided that it is not less than the minimum duration of the MoNE Lifelong Learning modules or university training modules. The program can be planned for a minimum of 5 hours a day and a maximum of 8 hours a day, not exceeding 6 days a week, not exceeding 45 hours per week and 240 days per day.
-Expenses that can be covered in on-the-job training programs.
-Citizens participating in the on-the-job training program on the day they actually participate in the program;
-TL 653.93 per day for participants with job seeker status, TL 653.93 per day for students (full)*, TL 490.45 per day for students (partial)*, and TL 326.97 per day for those receiving unemployment allowance.
-In the programs organized in professions identified as the professions of the future, participants are paid a daily pocket money of 719.32 TL.

Intern Fees

The Vocational Education Law stipulates that the net amount of the minimum wage shall be paid to students receiving vocational training in enterprises and students receiving internship or complementary education in vocational and technical secondary education schools and institutions.;
-In workplaces employing 20 or more employees, a minimum wage of 5,100 TL corresponding to 30% is paid.
-In workplaces employing less than 20 personnel, a minimum wage of 2,550 TL corresponding to 15% of the workforce.
-Candidate apprentices and apprentices to be paid a minimum wage of 5,100 TL, which corresponds to 30% of the minimum wage appropriate to their age.
-Vocational training center 12th grade students who earn the journeyman qualification must be paid 8,500 TL, which corresponds to fifty percent of the minimum wage.
Since these wages are considered to be the minimum wages of the persons mentioned, it is not possible to pay a lower amount. However, employers may pay a portion of these wage payments within the framework of the following criteria;
-Businesses employing less than 20 staff pay two-thirds of their wages,
-Businesses employing 20 or more employees pay one-third of their wages and,
-The entire minimum wage that can be paid to students attending the vocational training center program,
-It can be taken back as state contribution within the framework of the Unemployment Insurance Law.

 Sgk Premiums

 Aday apprentices, apprentices and trainee students are not covered by pension insurance. They are covered by occupational accidents and occupational diseases insurance. Insurance premiums of candidate apprentices, apprentices, students undergoing vocational training in enterprises and students who are subjected to internship, complementary education or field training while studying in vocational and technical secondary education schools and institutions are covered by the Ministry at 50% of the minimum wage.
